Detectives in Glasgow are hunting for two thugs who raided a post office at knife point and stole thousands of pounds. The men burst in to the Post Office on Quarrywood Avenue in Barmulloch just before 8am on Friday before making away with cash. A 27 year old member of staff, who was working at the time, was "shaken" by the ordeal but not injured.

The suspects made off with a five-figure sum of cash.

Both suspects are white and one of them was around 35-40 years with short brown hair and wearing a black jumper.

Detective Sergeant Raymond Hunter said:

“We have been are carrying our door-to-door enquiries and are in the process of collecting CCTV images from the surrounding area. There are a number of other shops in this area and people may have seen the two men prior to or after the incident, I am therefore appealing to anyone who was in the area or any local residents to contact us – any information you have could assist our enquiry.”
