A thug who brutally stabbed a stranger later whined he did not want to go to jail, a court heard. Lee McIntosh knifed Kenny Drew nine times following a house party in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire in September last year. He flew into a rage after the victim made a comment about McIntosh bizarrely walking about the flat with paper over his face. But, McIntosh is now behind bars after he pled guilty to assaulting Mr Drew to the danger of his life. The 20 year-old will learn his fate next month. The High Court in Glasgow heard how McIntosh had been invited to the party and was initially well behaved. Mr Drew also turned up having earlier been at a nightclub. McIntosh was later seen carrying on with paper covering his face. Mr Drew - who did not know McIntosh - made a remark, which the thug appeared to take exception to. McIntosh later had another go at Mr Drew, which resulted in him deciding to leave the bash. But, knife wielding McIntosh followed a scared Mr Drew out and repeatedly stabbed him. As the victim slumped to the ground, McIntosh yelled to others: "I've not got the knife - I don't want to go to jail." The attacker fled, but was later traced by police. After being held on an initial charge of attempted murder, McIntosh told officers: "That's a f** joke". The court heard Mr Drew is scarred for life as a result of the attack. He continues to suffer from depression and now finds every day tasks difficult. Judge Lady Rae deferred sentencing for reports until next month.
