Three Women Accused of 50 Shades Cinema Attack

A nursery worker is due to stand trial for allegedly attacking two people at a showing of Fifty Shades of Grey.

Carolanne Munro, 31, and two other women Isabel Munro, 51 and Phyllis Ross, 51, are accused of assaulting Jacqueline Coia at the Grosvenor Cinema in Ashton Lane.

They are also accused of assaulting Martin Coia, and struggling with police on February 15, this year.

The case called at Glasgow Sheriff Court where the women were not present but a lawyer's letter confirming their plea of not guilty was received.

A trial was set for February next year.

Papers at the court claim the trio allegedly hit Mrs Coia on the head, threw a glass of liquid over her, brandished a glass bottle and grabbed hold of her hair and dragged her.

They are accused of pulling her to the ground and repeatedly punching an kicking her on the head and body to her injury.

The two Munro women from Blairdardie and Ross from Partick, are also accused of assaulting Mr Coia by scratching him on the head, pulling him to the ground and repeatedly punching and kicking him on the head and body to his injury.

It is also claimed that they shouted and swore and struggled with police.

Isabel Munro is accused of assaulting Nicola Doris at Ashton Lane by seizing her by the hair, pulling her head down and pulling her hair.

Nursery nurse Carolanne Munro is accused of shouting, swearing and behaving in an aggressive manner while travelling from Ashton Lane to London Road police office.
