Three men and police officer in hospital after car smash in Bearsden

Officers were called to reports of a stolen vehicle in Eaglesham in the early hours of this morning.

Three men and a police officer are in hospital after a car crashed with a police vehicle in Bearsden this morning.

Officers were first called to reports of a stolen car in Gilmour Street, Eaglesham at 6.35am.

The same car was then later seen driving on the wrong side of the road and collided with an unmarked police vehicle in the Canniesburn Toll area of Bearsden, Glasgow.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ""Three men, aged 32, 29 and 20, and a police officer were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.

"The three men have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.

"The roads surrounding the Canniesburn Toll Roundabout remain closed for enquiries to be carried out."
