A police probe’s been launched after three men were attacked in Paisley.

The alarm was raised in the Glenburn area following reports of a disturbance in Fairway Avenue just after 10pm last night.

Three men, aged 27, 29 and 49 were taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment and later released.

Detective Constable Dougie MacFarlane at Paisley CID said: “Officers are currently carrying out door to door enquiries to try and establish more information as to why this incident occurred.

“It is not acceptable that such acts of violence be tolerated on the streets of Paisley and I need information from members of the public to help trace those responsible.”

Anyone who witnessed the disturbance in Fairway Avenue or the aforementioned men being attacked in the street is asked to contact Paisley CID via 101 quoting incident reference number 4208/1 May.
