Two innocent men were terrorised and robbed after being falsely accused of harming a child. Kingsley Smith and Andrew Hannah suffered a horrific ordeal at a flat in Glasgow's Scotstoun last July.

The crime included Kingsley having hot wax poured over him and Andrew being battered with a pole.

An expensive watch and a £750 necklace were also snatched.

Kingsley told jurors: “Being in that situation and thinking you are going to die, you are going to do what you are told.”

Their attackers are now behind bars after a trial at the High Court in Glasgow.

One of the trio was Peter Blackwood (28) - who was cleared in 2016 of a high profile shooting amid claims he tried to kill a shopkeeper.

His two accomplices were Mhairi Wright (42) and John Green (24).

Blackwood had pleaded guilty during the trial of assaulting, abducting and robbing Kingsley and Andrew.

Jurors meantime convicted Wright and Green of assault and abduction.

The trio were remanded in custody pending sentencing next month.

Kingsley told how he had been invited to Green's flat last July 24.

The teenager lived in the same block.

Blackwood was also there along with Hunter.

He had only just arrived when she yelled at him to “get in the f** kitchen”.

It was then put to Kingsley that him and Andrew had “tampered” with a child Hunter knew after apparently going into her home during the night.

The stunned teenager was also bizarrely shown drawings of the alleged incident.

Kingsley recalled: “When I denied it that was when everything started to get wild and angry.

“She grabbed me by the throat and pinned me against the wall. Peter and John were saying: 'Tell us the f*g truth'.”

The terrified victim recalled seeing a knife and a metal pole.

Kingsley went on: “Peter then lit a candle. I was told to take off my shoes and socks.

I just obeyed what was being said.

“He started pouring hot wax on my feet. Peter was the one who had the knife threatening to put it in me.

“There were times that he would lose the plot and the others had to pull him back.”

The court heard Wright kissed both her accomplices at one point as Kingsley was attacked.

Blackwood then demanded Kingsley's expensive Michael Kors watch.

He said: “Being accused of this, I was very distressed and white as chalk.

“I was sweating and my anxiety was through the roof.”

The victim recalled he was clueless “how to save himself”.

He was described as “petrified” and “curled up in a wee ball”.

The attackers then demanded he call his friend Andrew to get him to the flat.

Andrew soon arrived and was confronted with the same false allegations.

Kingsley told the trial: “Peter and John went crazy. I know he got smacked on the chest with a pole.”

The teenager said it seemed the men wanted to take the the violence “further”.

He recalled: “You could see the rage in their faces.”

Andrew had his expensive necklace stolen by Blackwood.

He was also again smacked with the pole and threatened with the knife.

It was also claimed Blackwood vowed to break Andrew's hands with a dumbbell.

The thug was cleared of that accusation.

The court heard brave Andrew, however, managed to escape.

Kingsley said: “I thank him so much as if it was not for him getting out, I don't know what would have happened.”

Blackwood initially chased after him as his two accomplices began “freaking out” about police turning up.

Green then forced Kingsley to go to the victim's flat to try and hide from police.

The trio were all later arrested. When Blackwood was held, the chain and necklace were found under a bed.

Lord Woolman deferred sentencing for reports until April 16 in Edinburgh.
