Lit petrol bomb thrown at house in Thorntonhall

Police were called in the early hours of Sunday morning.

An investigation's underway after a lit petrol bomb was thrown towards a house in Thorntonhall.

It happened in the early hours of Sunday 27 October on Baroness Drive.

The object was thrown over a fence and landed on a driveway with parked vehicles - a brick was also thrown which damaged the back window of one of the cars.

Detective Constable Chris McLaughlin, of Cambuslang CID, said: "Thankfully no extensive damage was caused. This was a reckless act which could have caused significantly more harm and will not be tolerated.

"Two men were seen getting out of a dark coloured hatchback. I am appealing to anyone who may have seen something suspicious in the area, or who has dash-cam or CCTV footage of people or vehicles to contact us immediately.

"If you have information please call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1409 of Sunday 27 October, or contact the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
