Teenager dies in hospital 4 days after being hit by taxi in Rutherglen
Police call for more help in their investigation - a 58-year-old man had been arrested on road traffic offences

A 16-year-old boy knocked down near Glasgow last week has died in hospital.
The teenager was hit by a black Mercedes Vito taxi on Tuesday, November 5 at around 4.10pm on Rutherglen Main Street.
He was rushed to Glasgow’s Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in a critical condition. Officers are now confirming that he passed away yesterday.
A 58-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and released pending further enquiries.
Now police are looking for help with their investigation.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the teenager who died at this terrible time.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and we are appealing to anyone who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch if you think you can help.
“I would also appeal for anyone who was driving in the area and who may have dash-cam footage that could assist to contact us.”
