Teenager found dead in Erskine named by police

A teenager whose body was found in Renfrewshire has been named by police.

16 year old Owen MacDonald was discovered on ground adjacent to Rashielee Avenue in Erskine at 5.40am on Sunday.

Police Scotland said the teenager's relatives have been informed of his death which is being treated as unexplained.

Friends of the youngster have taken to Facebook to pay tribute to him.

One described the teenager as a "lovely boy" and said heaven had gained "a beautiful angel". Another wrote: "Words can't say how gutted I am. You don't realise how heartbreaking it is to lose a best friend until it actually happens to you. Still can't believe your gone bro, rest easy."
