Teenager attacked in Baillieston dies in hospital

A teenager who was seriously injured in an incident near Bannerman High School in Baillieston has died in hospital.

He's been named as 16-year-old Luke Wallace

Police Scotland has released the following statement:

"With reference to our previous releases regarding a 16 year-old boy who was seriously injured following an incident in a lane near to Bannerman High School on Friday 17 June 2016, please note:

Sadly the 16 year-old boy died earlier this morning, Saturday 25 June 2016 within Glasgow Royal Infirmary.

He can be named as Luke Wallace of Barrachnie Road, Glasgow.

Relatives are aware.

A Post Mortem examination will take place and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
