A teenage boy's been assaulted and robbed in the West end of Glasgow.

They tried to steal the 16 year 's bike as he walked along Kelvin Way.

Officers are appealing for information after a 16-year-old boy was robbed in Kelvin Way, Glasgow around 11.55pm on Thursday, 18 November.

The teenager was walking with his bike when three youths approached him and demanded his bike. He refused and they assaulted him and made off in the direction of University Avenue with some items they had stolen from him.

The teenager was extremely shaken, but did not require medical treatment.

The three suspects are described as:

1 - Aged 14 and of Asian appearance. Around 5ft 2ins and of silm build with short, dark-coloured hair. He was wearing a blue padded jacket, black jogging trousers and trainers.

2 – White, aged around 18 years, 6ft and of slim build with shoulder-length blond hair. He was wearing black jogging trousers, a black jacket with black and white Nike Air Force One trainers.

3 – Aged around 20 years and of Asian appearance. Around 5ft 10ins in height and wearing jeans, a dark-blue jacket and a grey/blue baseball cap.

Constable Ross Miller from the Community Investigation Unit at Govan is appealing for information. He said: “We have been gathering CCTV footage from in and around the local area and carrying out enquiries to identify the three men responsible for this robbery.

“I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information to contact the Community Investigation Unit at Govan through 101 with reference 0007 of 19 November. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
