Teenage boy stabbed in Glasgow at weekend was on way home from mosque
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection.
The friends and family of a 13-year-old boy who was stabbed in the Southside of Glasgow on Friday night are telling us they're still in shock.
The teenager was waiting for a bus on Queen's Drive after leaving a mosque when he was approached by a man who knifed him multiple times.
"He is walking again"
Family friend Aleesha Ntayomba told Clyde 1: "The night after the attack he went in for surgery on his hand which went well.
"The following night he went in for another operation on his lung.
"Last night, he was able to get up, start talking and he is also walking again."
Officers say they've arrested a 17-year-old boy in connection with the incident.
"We are just glad he is alive"
Parts of Victoria Road and Queen's Drive were closed off for hours as officers carried out inquiries.
Aleesha added: "It just goes to show danger can happen anywhere at any time.
"We are just glad he is alive."
