A teenager appeared in court after a young Celtic fan with Down's syndrome was allegedly abused online.
Ross Gibson, of Aberdeen, was charged following the Parkhead clash between Celtic and Aberdeen on March 1.
It was claimed online that comments about Jay Beatty, 11, had been posted on a social networking site.
The youngster won the Scottish Professional Football League Goal of the Month for January and had been presented with the award at halftime.
He became a fan favourite after being pictured at last year's title celebrations with his heroes.
Gibson appeared in private on petition at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday. He has been charged with behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
He made no plea or declaration and his case was continued for further examination.
The 19-year-old, who lives in Aberdeen, was released on bail and is expected to appear in court again later this year.
