“This incident involved a number of young men and we are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything to get in touch with us.

“It took place in Fernbrae Meadows, a newly developed area on an old golf course, where a number of people would have been out for a run or walking their dogs in the evening.

“We are appealing for anyone who may have seen a group hanging around the area to get in touch with us so we can establish exactly what happened here."
