Teen arrested after exam party turns into violence
Three 16-year-olds were left hospitalised after the two groups of youths clashed
An 18-year-old man has been arrested after three teens were hospitalised when two groups of youths clashed in a park in East Renfrewshire on Tuesday evening.
Around 100 school students were out celebrating their exam results when an attack between rival gangs broke out at Overlee Park in Clarkston.
A 16-year-old was stabbed with a screwdriver and slashed on the hand with a saw.
The other two victims were also 16, with one suffering a head injury and the other minor injuries.
A Police Scotland statement said: "An 18-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
"Enquiries are continuing to trace individuals involved in the disturbance."
