'Smartwater' allows police to trace stolen goods to their owner
A UV light may be all it takes to catch criminals this Christmas. Police Scotland's urging us to get 'smartwater' added to our electrical goods. The colourless liquid has a unique ID and shows up under a UV torch, meaning if your phone or tablet is stolen, officers can quickly tell who the item belongs too. Chief Inspector Joe McCairns believes it's a simple way to stop thefts.
