T in the Park Gets Underway At New Home
The party is set to get into full swing at Strathallan Castle as the first bands take to the T in the Park stages
The T in the Park music festival gets under way today as thousands of music fans descend on its new home.
Kasabian, David Guetta, Sam Smith and Mark Ronson are just some of the names appearing on the opening day of the festival which is taking place at the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire for the first time this year.
Organisers expect 85,000 people a day at the three-day event with the likes of Avicii, Stereophonics, The Libertines, James Bay and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds all on the line-up. These people - who've already spent a night at Strathallan - have been telling us who they are looking forward to seeing:
But the man behind the event, Geoff Ellis, is urging us to check out some of the lesser known acts too:
One man returning to the festival is former firefighter and Voice winner Steve McCrorie.
He played on the T-Break stage a few years ago and will open the King Tuts tent on Saturday:
T-Break - which gives emerging artist the chance to play at the festival - is also celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Biffy Clyro, the View and Snow Patrol are among those who've played the stage in the past.
