We have found ten surprising facts about the Kaiser Chiefs ahead of their performance at Clyde 1 LIVE on Sunday 18th December.

  1. Lead singer Ricky Wilson often rips his clothes crowd surfing but instead of throwing them away, he takes them to his mum to repair!
  1. Keyboard player Nick 'Peanuts' Baines got his nickname from a picture he made of himself in school in which his head looked like a peanut.
  1. The name ‘Kaiser Chiefs’ comes from a South African football team named Kaizer Chiefs, they are one of the biggest teams in Africa, with an estimated 16 million supporters.
  1. Drummer Nick Hodgson was sceptic about working with Mark Ronson but after the pair met they got on great!
  1. Kaiser Chiefs first album ‘Employment’ had four hit singles and sold almost 2 million copies.
