Broadcaster STV will launch its new channel in a fortnight's time.
Viewers across Scotland will be able to watch STV2 from 5pm on Monday April 24.
Its schedule is expected to feature live events, news and new programming including soap, drama and films.
The launch will see STV's existing TV channels for Glasgow and Edinburgh rebranded and combined with three new licences for Aberdeen, Ayr and Dundee - all under the STV2 brand.
The channel will broadcast round-the-clock, seven days a week, on Freeview channel 8, Sky channel 117 and Virgin channel 159. It will also be streamed online via the STV Player.
The launch will also mark the start of its flagship news programme STV News Tonight, which will bring together Scottish, UK and international stories in one show.
Presented by Halla Mohieddeen, the programme will air on the new channel at 7pm during the week.
Bobby Hain, director of channels at STV, said: "STV2 is the first commercial TV channel with a distinct schedule for Scotland and we're excited to confirm the channel will launch on Monday April 24.
"STV2 has Scotland at its core with an entertaining mix of local, Scottish and international content. Our flagship news programme STV News Tonight will air every weeknight as part of a diverse schedule including a daily live magazine show, programming showcasing key cultural events and local sport, plus top quality drama and entertainment."
