Strathaven councillor 'could leave' Scotland after third home attack
Graeme Campbell is telling us he feels forced out of the town

A Strathaven councillor is considering fleeing Scotland after his home was set alight for the third time last weekend.
Graeme Campbell and his wife Fiona were not in their home on Fortrose Gardens when it was targeted in the early hours of Saturday June 19.
The fire has ruined most of the inside of the house and the entire double garage as well as their cars.
'Re-living a nightmare'
In his first broadcast interview since the latest attack, he told Clyde 1: "You have no idea how scary it is.
"I cannot describe how we are feeling because we are re-living a nightmare that started two years ago.
"The only times I have felt safe recently are when I am not in this country.
"It is the chance to get away to somewhere nobody knows you.
"Whoever is after me because they are unhappy with my work as part of my everyday job as an elected member serving the community can't get me when I am 4,000 miles away across the Atlantic."
Sleepless nights
Mr Campbell, who was voted into office in 2007, has had his home targeted on two previous occasions.
It first happened 2019 when one car was firebombed and part of the house was ruined and last year acid was poured over his cars.
He claims he has to watch over his shoulder whenever he leaves the house.
"I've been followed while out for a run before and my wife has been intimidated in Strathaven.
"It has become part of my life and I have to deal with these issues."
Graeme feels as though he can't continue in his role as a councillor after 14 years of service.
He added: "I don't have the strength to do it anymore and I am working on a process to leave.
"I have told the chief executive that it will be my intention not to stand for re-election in 2022.
"I can't help lead this community and this decision is not just about me.
"My wife is in bits right now and I have to put her first and no one should judge me for that."
