'Stop & speak' held in Shawlands one week on from brutal murder

Detectives investigating the brutal murder of a man in Shawlands retturned to the scene to hold a stop and search operation tonight, one week on.
30 year old Owen Hassan, was discovered on Greenview Street, Pollokshaws, at about 10:25pm on Wednesday 7 November.
He had been chased and attacked by two men.
Mr Hassan was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died a short time later.
Plain clothes and uniform officers were at the scene in Greenview Street, Shawlands this evening between 10pm and 11pm to stop and interview people in an attempt to jog their memories in case they could provide further information in relation to this murder.
Detective Chief Inspector Martin Fergus said: "This evening we were out speaking to people in Greenview Street and have been speaking to pedestrians and motorists who perhaps travel through this area on a regular basis around this particular time.
"We hope we have been able to jog their memories into remembering something they may have seen or heard which could assist our murder investigation.
"We are continuing significant inquiries to trace the two men responsible for this attack on Mr Hassan and we would urge anyone with any information that may assist our police enquiries to contact the inquiry team through 101 quoting reference number 4167 of 7th November 2018.
