Senior pupils in south side schools told to stay home
Three Glasgow secondaries take action to control spread of Covid-19
Three schools on the southside of Glasgow are asking pupils in secondaries 4 to 6 to stay at home.
Bellahouston Academy, Shawlands Academy and Holyrood Secondary are all within the G41 and G42 postcode areas.
They say only pupils who have assessments should come in, for 3 weeks from Monday.
Clyde 1 News has also recevied a statement from Glasgow Academy, in the west end, which says it's dealing with a "small number of cases".
That's as businesses in East Renfrewshire tell us they want to know sooner rather than later if the area's going back into Level 3 restrictions.
The 7 day rate of coronavirus cases per 100,000 people reached 101.9 on Wednesday 20th May, which is double the threshold for Level 2, and close to the figure for Glasgow which is at 109.
However, case rates in Pollokshields, which has been the hot spot, have fallen slightly according to the latest figures.
Mario Arcari owns restaurants in Glasgow and Newton Means and says the hospitality industry needs more warning of changes to the restrictions: "It's absolutely crucial we get as much notice as possible when it comes to any change up or down.
"I'm fearful that it's going to get dragged out again until Friday and we'll get a couple of days notice.
"Going back into Level 3 would restrict our staff hours and turnover - in a restaurant environment it makes it very difficult to operate.
"They have to consider that it's not easy like flicking a switch."
The Scottish Government will give an update before the end of the week.
