Stalker who preyed on women in Dumbarton jailed for 6 years
A serial stalker branded "highly dangerous" by a judge has been jailed for six years.
Graeme Scott preyed on two women - including threats to rape one and sending intimate photos of the other to her 11 year-old daughter.
The 30 year-old had admitted to the crimes at Dumbarton Sheriff Court last year.
But, the case was then sent to the High Court in Glasgow where sentencing powers are greater.
It emerged Scott already had a previous conviction for sexually-aggravated behaviour towards four children.
Lord Arthurson jailed him in this latest case and also ordered he be supervised for a further eight years on his release due to the risk he poses.
Scott had previously pled guilty to a number of charges including threatening behaviour, sending indecent communications and threats of sexual violence.
The crimes occurred between 2019 and 2021 in Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire.
Scott had initially made contact with the first woman via Instagram while calling himself Gary McCormack.
They swapped numbers before Scott pestered her on WhatsApp for naked photos.
The woman agreed, but Scott turned hostile and threatened if she stopped, he would contact her partner and also make the pictures public.
The scared victim soon blocked him on social media.
But, Scott then managed to contact her schoolgirl daughter, who had no idea who he was.
The pervert stated to her: "Do you want to see what your mum has been doing?"
He went on to send the upset child intimate images of the woman.
Scott, formerly of Dumbarton, also branded the victim "a s**g".
The woman discovered what happened and confronted Scott online before alerting police.
When he was quizzed and asked about sending the photos to the girl, Scott said: "I do not agree."
The court heard how Scott tormented the other victim over several weeks by hounding her on WhatsApp and telephone calls.
This included threats to stab, slash and rape the woman.
The woman's daughter sometimes heard what was said - Scott even made sexual remarks about her.
Sentencing, Lord Arthurson told Scott: "The offending was very much towards, in my view, the highest levels of gravity for non-contact sexual offending.
"It is obvious that you committed this in order to obtain perverted, sexual gratification without any regards to the serious harm infliected on your victims."
He went to state Scott was a "highly dangerous individual" and that he had been deemed a "high risk" of similar offending in the future.
The judge said a social work compiling a pre-sentencing report stated it was "unlikely" Scott had "any real remorse" for what he had done.
Scott remains on the sex offenders list.
