Officers investigating a serious assault in Springburn last year have released an image of a man they want to speak to.

The attack happened on Avonspark Street between 3.30 am and 7.00 am on Sunday 6 August 2017.

Officers believe that the male shown in the image may have information that can help them with their investigation and would ask him or any members of the public who recognise him to come forward.

The man is described a white, 22-28 years old, 5ft7 to 5ft8 tall, auburn short hair and a beard. He spoke with an English accent.

He was seen earlier in the evening in Glasgow City Centre, including in the Garage Nightclub. At this time he was wearing dark trousers and a grey t-shirt.

Detective Inspector Dougie McKinlay and Detective Constable Hazel McColl are appealing to anyone who may be able to assist with police enquiries to contact police officers at Helen Street Police Office via 101.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained
