Smoke bomb discharged at Paisley St James train station
A smoke bomb was discharged at a Paisley train station following St Mirren and Morton SPFL match.
A smoke bomb was discharged at Paisley St James station on Saturday shortly after the St Mirren v Morton SPFL match.
The pyrotechnic was set off around 5:15pm just as a train from Glasgow Central arrived at the station.
The man responsible is described as being 18-years-old, having dark hair and wearing a grey hooded top with a red logo on it, jeans and trainers. He boarded the train and is believed to have got off at Greenock West station.
Detective Constable Marc Francey, is appealing for anyone who has information which can help identify the man suspected to come forward.
He said: “The platform was extremely busy with people waiting for the train and the dangers and potential circumstances of such a stupid action cannot be underestimated.
