As Glasgow prepares to bask in glorious sunshine, Silverburn has announced the help of a specialist fashion team in an effort to curb the city's love for 'Taps Aff'.
Weather experts have predicted that temperatures are set to soar to over 25°C this week, meaning many will be throwing off their tops in an effort to catch some rays.
Dubbed the 'Taps Oan' Squad, shoppers will see the summer style ambassadors equipped with t-shirts, handing them out in an effort to make sure 'taps' remain firmly 'oan' in and around the centre.
Following the last heatwave, Silverburn wanted gauge customer reaction to the concept, with many commenting that the initiative was a good idea. While some shoppers highlighted other well-known fashion faux pas, such as socks and sandals, Hawaiian t-shirts and florescent cycling shorts.
Lynne McInnes, Marketing Manager of Silverburn said, "Given the short spells of sun that Glasgow actually receives, it seems we tend to struggle with summer sun the most. However our customers have spoken and Taps Oan is the way forward."
Silverburn has a Cineworld, over 20 restaurants and 120 retailers, including H&M, Debenhams, and River Island, perfect for finding the latest fashion trends this summer
