Shop workers assaulted during Paisley robbery

Investigations are ongoing after staff at a Paisley store were attacked during a robbery.
Two men threatened and assaulted staff at the St James Street premises at around 10:30am this morning.
After demanding money, they then left on foot with cigarettes in the direction of Caledonia Street.
The first man is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and was wearing a black face mask with a white logo on the front, a dark green hooded rain coat with the hood up, dark navy blue tracksuit bottoms with three light blue lines down the leg and black trainers.
The second man is described as white, around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and he was wearing a black parka style raincoat with a fur lined hood that was up, denim jeans and dark trainers.
Detective Constable Robert Young, of Paisley CID, said: “One staff member received superficial injuries as a result of the incident.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing to identify the men responsible, including reviewing CCTV from the area and we are asking anyone with information which could help to identify the men to get in touch.
“In addition, we are asking anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident and can help with our investigation to get in touch, including if you were driving and have dash-cam footage.”
