Police say two separate sex attacks in Paisley are linked as they release man's description
Two women were uninjured but shaken by yesterday's incidents
Police are treating two sex attacks in Paisley as linked.
Officers are appealing for information following reports of sexual assault and inappropriate behaviour from a man, which took place yesterday, Thursday, 24 August, 2023.
The first incident happened along a cycle path near to Maxwelton Street, around 2.25pm.
The second report came from River Cart Walkway, around 6.25pm.
The victims – a 14-year-old girl and a 22-year-old woman respectively – were uninjured but shaken by the incidents.
The suspect is described as being aged between 18-23, with light-coloured facial stubble, wearing black trousers and a black hooded top, with his head covered.
Detective Inspector Alex Allardyce, from Paisley CID, said: “We’re appealing for anyone who was in these areas and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward.
“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the man in question on other Paisley cycle paths recently, and has any information on other potential incidents.
“If you believe you can assist our enquiries, please call police on 101, quoting incident 2189 of 24 August, 2023.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area over the coming days, with officers carrying out additional patrols. Anyone with any concerns should approach these officers for assistance.”
