Sex attack on woman in Glasgow city centre

Police have launched an investigation after a woman was sexually assaulted in Glasgow city centre.

The attack on the 19-year-old woman happened in Renfrew Lane near Cineworld in the early hours of Saturday morning.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: ''Police are investigating a report of a serious sexual assault which took place in there early hours of Saturday.

Inquiries are at an early stage to establish the exact circumstances.''
