Serious Sexual Assault in Glasgow City Centre
Police are appealing for information after the serious sexual assault of a woman in the early hours of Friday morning in Glasgow city centre.
The 34 year old woman was on Cadogan Street around 5am on Friday when she was attacked by a man.
It is then believed the woman got on the same bus as the man with her friend. They are believed to have all boarded the 61 bus on Hope Street at around 6:18am.
The man has been described as in his 20s, sallowed skin and was wearing dark colouored clothes.
Detective Inspector Diane Caldwell said: “We are looking to speak to anyone that was travelling on the number 61 bus around this time who may have witnessed a disturbance involving two women and a man.
“Officers are carrying out enquiries locally, examining CCTV and patrols have been stepped up around the city centre to provide reassurance to members of the public.
“Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101.
