Can you help police identify these people?

They could be linked to a serious assault on Glasgow's Union Street

Detectives in Glasgow have released images of two people they believe may be able to assist them with an ongoing investigation into a serious assault.

The incident happened on Union Street in the city around 1.25am on Monday, 7 August, 2023.

The man pictured is described as white, around 6ft, aged in his thirties, with brown short hair and light facial stubble. He was wearing a black hooded jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, and black trainers.

The woman is described as white, around 5ft 6ins, aged in her thirties, with brown hair which was tied back in ponytail. She was wearing a black jacket a fur edged hood, white cropped top, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Detective Constable Richard Carson said: “We are asking the people in the images, or anyone who recognises them or who has information regarding this incident, to contact officers through 101, quoting incident number 0251 of Monday, 7 August, 2023.

“Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
