A man has been left with serious injuries following an attack in Uddingston.
Police were called to a property on Crofthead Street at around 11.30pm last night following reports of an assault.
The 26-year-old man was treated for facial injuries at University Hospital Monklands.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called to a report of a 26-year-old-man having been seriously assaulted within a property on Crofthead Street in Uddingston at around 11.30pm on Friday 5th April.
"The man was taken to University Hospital Monklands for treatment to facial injuries.
"Inquiries are continuing and anyone who has any information can contact detective sergeant Laura Sands at Cambuslang CID via 101 quoting reference number 5057 of 5th April."
