Man arrested and charged following serious assault in Rutherglen

A 47-year-old man was seriously assaulted following an incident in Glasgow yesterday.
Police were called to the scene on Curtis Avenue in Rutherglen near to King's Park at around 12.50pm yesterday afternoon.
The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment but was later released.
A 53-year old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, and is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
