Second man in court after fatal shooting in South Lanarkshire

A second man has appeared in court charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting in a South Lanarkshire town.

Police said Graham Williamson was in a back garden in Caithness Street, Blantyre, when he was shot on August 17.

The 26-year-old made his way to the street where he was helped by members of the public until an ambulance arrived.

He was taken to University Hospital Wishaw but died a short time later.

James Baillie appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

The 24-year-old, of Hamilton, made no plea and was remanded in custody.

It comes after Derek Felvus, 23, of Hamilton, previously appeared the town's sheriff court also charged with murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

He also made no plea and was remanded in custody.
