A second man has been charged in connection with a fatal shooting in Blantyre.

Graham Williamson was shot while he was in a back garden in Caithness Street in the town on August 17.

The 26-year-old made his way to the street where he was helped by members of the public until an ambulance arrived.

He was taken to University Hospital Wishaw but died a short time later.

Police Scotland confirmed on Wednesday that a second man, a 24-year-old, had been charged in connection with the incident.

He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Thursday.
