Second man arrested after death of grandfather in Airdrie

A second man has been arrested in connection with the death of a grandfather who was found seriously injured in the road.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at a house on Frew Street in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire, early on August 19.
Colin MacDonald, 59, was found in a critical condition a short time later at Rankin Crescent in nearby Greengairs.
He was taken to Monklands Hospital and died the following day.
A man aged 20 has been arrested and charged in connection with the death. He will appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Monday.
In October a 29-year-old man was also arrested and charged, but police say inquiries are still being carried out
