Police make second arrrest over Clydebank attempted murder

A 20-year-old man has now been charged after the arrest of a 19-year-old woman

Police have made a second arrest in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Clydebank.

The incident happened around 1.05am on April 7 at a property on The Crescent. A 42-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.

The man, aged 20, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court in due course.

A 19-year-old woman was previously arrested and charged in connection.

She appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, April 8

She was charged with assault to severe injury, disfigurement, impairment, danger to life and attempted murder.

She was also charged with three counts of possession of an offensive weapon.

She made no plea and was released on bail. The date for her next appearance has not been set.
