Search for man missing from Lanarkshire care home

Officers are looking for a man who has gone missing from a care home in Lanarkshire.

Eighty-six year-old James Clark was last seen at Orchard House Care Home, Waygateshaw Road, Crossford around 6.20 last night.

He is described as being white, Approx 5ft 4 tall, very slim build, Grey hair wearing Dark navy coloured trousers, Dark Coloured top, Black shoes with Velcro straps.

Inspector Peter Johnstone said: "James has been missing overnight and we are becoming increasingly concerned.

"He is new to the area and may have become lost or disorientated.

“It is vital that we find James as soon as we can and I am asking anyone who has seen him or knows where he is to get in touch.

"Please check any outhouses and sheds in case he has sought shelter.

“If you have been driving in the area please check your dash-cam for any information that could help us to trace James and if you are out and about please keep a look out for him.

Inspector Chivers from Hamilton Police station said: "We have a number of police resources out looking for James, and I am now looking for assistance from the public to keep a look out for James.

"I'd ask them to check any dash cam footage within vehicles which may have been in and around Orchard House Care Home at the time in question.

"I also request members of the public check their gardens and outbuildings.”
