Further arrests have been made in connection with the disorder at the Scottish Cup final, taking the total to 95.

Hibernian supporters flooded the Hampden pitch after the Edinburgh side's dramatic 3-2 win over Rangers at the cup final in May, with fans of the Ibrox team also making it past stewards and onto the turf before mounted officers restored order.

The match marked the first Scottish Cup triumph for Hibs in more than a century.

Police Scotland said on Friday that seven men aged between 26 and 47 have been arrested in connection with alleged violence and disorder at the ground. A report is to be sent to the procurator fiscal.

The men are expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

The force said in a statement: "The police investigation is continuing into the violence and disorder, and officers are continuing to appeal to anyone with information that may assist their enquiries to contact the inquiry team on 0141 532 5457, or by emailing scottishcupfinalpitchinvasion@scotland.pnn.police.uk

"Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained."
