Body found in search for singer Scott Hutchison
Formal identification has still to take place after the discovery last night.
A body has been found in the search for missing Frightened Rabbit singer Scott Hutchison.
Police Scotland released a statement early this morning which said the discovery was made at Port Edgar near South Queensferry at 8.30pm on Thursday.
Formal identification has yet to take place, but the family of Mr Hutchison has been informed.
A major search was launch after Scott left the Dakota hotel in South Queensferry at 1am on Wednesday morning.
He had sent a tweet just two hours earlier which read "I'm away now, thanks".
The police statement says: "Police in Edinburgh can confirm that the body of a man was found at Port Edgar near South Queensferry around 8.30 pm on Thursday 10th May.
"Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of missing man, Scott Hutchison have been informed.
"The family are requesting privacy at this sad time"
