Before the nation’s favourite ginger takes to the stage in Glasgow this Bank Holiday weekend, Border Biscuits has delivered a case of the nation’s favourite chocolate ginger biscuit, the best-selling Dark Chocolate Ginger.

Lovingly labelled “from one Number 1 to another”, the specially packaged case of the much-loved biscuit was designed especially for Ed and was hand delivered to the SSE Hydro by Border Biscuits mascot Ginger George, to ensure a warm welcome to Scotland for the number 1 selling artist.

Lesley Ann Gray, Brand and Innovation Director at Border Biscuits, said: “When we heard Ed was coming to Glasgow we knew we had to give him some of our Dark Chocolate Gingers. It’s a perfect fit – he’s one of the nation’s favourite gingers and so are our biscuits.

“We’re extremely proud that our Dark Chocolate Ginger is the number one selling biscuit in the sweet treats category in Scotland, so we thought this would make the perfect present to welcome him to the country.”

Border Biscuits is currently celebrating the 30th anniversary of the iconic Dark Chocolate Ginger biscuit, and kicked off 2017, the ‘Year of the Ginger’, with a tongue-in-cheek #GingerJanuary social media campaign which saw people across the world celebrating all things ginger in their own unique way.

The Border Biscuits ginger range includes the legendary Dark Chocolate Ginger, its younger sister the Milk Chocolate Ginger, Old Fashioned Ginger Crunch, and new family additions Dark Chocolate Gingers and Orange and delicious Chocolate, Stem Ginger and Orange Cookies.
