A schoolboy’s been arrested after threats were made to pupils and teachers at a high school in Greenock.
Officers were called to St Columba's secondary yesterday afternoon following reports of threatening communications.
Head teacher Nicola Devine has written to parents assuring swift and appropriate action has been taken.
Police say enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
Chief inspector David Doherty, area commander for Inverclyde, said: “Around 3.40pm on Thursday, November 28, we received a report of threatening communications.
“A 14-year-old male youth has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
