A man is accused of breaching coronavirus regulations by not returning home.

Stephen McAreavey, 26, is alleged to have failed to comply with police instructions on April 15.

Prosecutors claim McAreavey, of Glasgow’s Royston area, “refused to return to the place he was living.”

The offence comes under the Coronavirus regulations set out in the Health Protection Scotland Act.

McAreavey faces a second charge of acting in a threatening or abusive manner by acting aggressively and shouting and swearing at police officers.

The case called today at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

But, a warrant was issued for McAreavey's arrest after he failed to appear.
