A Clyde News campaign to have the Control of Dogs Act toughened up has been backed by Scotland's postal service.

Over the last four months we have heard from families who've been devastated by dog attacks, including postman Alan Quinn who's been left with permanent injuries after he was savaged by a German Shepherd while on his round in Paisley.

Now, Julie Pirone from the Royal Mail says they will support our campaign to bring about change:

MSPs are set to debate the findings of our 'Lead the Way' campaign in May.

Our investigation found an alarming number of children in Glasgow and the West are being attacked by dogs every year, despite the legislation which should protect them.

Our findings shocked former justice secretary Alex Neil and he submitted a motion to have the situation looked at.
