Robbery at Tollcross Convenience Store
A three figure sum of money was stolen during the incident.
A three figure sum of money has been stolen during a robbery at a shop in Glasgow.
A man walked into the Tollcross Convenience Store, on Tollcross Road, just after midnight and threatened a worker with an unknown object in a carrier bag.
The suspect then ran out of the shop with the cash, leaving the shop assistant uninjured but badly shaken.
The suspect is described as white, medium build and had dark stubble on his face. He was wearing a black quilted jacket with a diagonal pattern and hood, a black beanie style hat with a white horizontal stripe, black trousers and black training shoes with a black vertical stripe down the middle.
Detective Sergeant Colin Kilgour at the Community Investigation Unit based at Helen St, Glasgow said:
''Thankfully the shop assistant was not injured however it was a very traumatic experience for him and therefore vital that we trace the person responsible for this robbery as he may strike again.
It is believed that the suspect was speaking to someone outside Bells Bar just before the incident took place and therefore I’d like to speak to this person or indeed anyone who may have seen the two men talking.
I’d also like to speak to anyone who may recognise the description of the suspect or anyone who saw him leaving the shop.''
