Witness appeal after man assaulted and robbed in Glasgow

An investigation's underway after a man was assaulted and robbed in the Lambhill Bridge area earlier this month.

It happened around 2pm on Wednesday 1 April on Balmore Road. A 38-year-old man was assaulted by two other men, who stole a low three-figure sum from his pocket.

The suspects are described as both being white, with one wearing a cream coloured jacket and the other in dark clothing.

PC Kirstie Black, from Govan Police Office, said: "We have been carrying out enquiries in the area and are keen to hear from anyone who either witnessed the robbery take place, or saw anything suspicious in the area during the afternoon of 1 April.

"Thankfully, the victim only sustained minor injuries and did not require medical treatment, but this was a shocking incident and anyone with information should get in touch with us.
