Major Glasgow road shut down after bus goes up in flames
Emergency services were called out to the M74 near Glasgow on Monday morning
A major road in Glasgow was completely shut on Monday morning after a bus burst into flames.
Emergency services were called out to the M74 northbound, near junction 3 Cumbuslang, shortly after 10.30am.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service sent three engines to the scene, with crews working to put out the flames.
No passengers were on board the bus at the time and there are currently no reports of any injuries but the road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.35am on Monday, 22 August, 2022, officers were called to a report of a bus on fire on the M74, near to junction 3.
"Emergency services are in attendance."
