River search draws blank after shoes found beside Glasgow bridge
Emergency services have found no sign of anyone in the water following a search launched after a pair of shoes was found beside a bridge.
A member of the public alerted police at about 10.20am on Monday after finding the footwear near the King George V bridge in Glasgow.
Police, the fire service and coastguard launched a search to establish whether someone had landed in the River Clyde.
However, they found no trace of anyone in the water.
The fire service said the search was launched as a precaution.
