The Royal Bank of Scotland is putting forward a £15,000 reward for information after an armed robbery at their branch in Dumbarton.

The bank on the High Street was held-up at around 0930 hours on Wednesday 17 June 2015 and a four-figure sum of money taken.

A week on detectives investigating revisited the scene.

They were stopping members of the public as well as passing vehicles to appeal for information and show them CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Sergeant Stuart Gillies said: “Yesterday’s revisit to the scene was definitely worthwhile and we spoke to members of the public in the surrounding area in an attempt to gather more information about this incident.

“Our enquiries are at an early stage and I would continue to appeal to anyone who knows who is responsible to come forward.

“Somebody knows who committed this crime and we understand that RBS are offering a significant financial reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

“I would like to reassure the community that incidents of this type are very rare in the area and we will continue to work with our local partners to deter criminals and keep people safe.” RBS have pledged to offer a reward of up to £15,000 for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.
