Rangers fans to join minute's applause for lifelong fan killed in car crash
David Horn, from Wemyss Bay, sadly lost his life last Saturday night.
Rangers supporters heading to Ibrox today are being urged to take part in a minute's applause, to pay tribute to a lifelong fan who died in a car crash last week.
59-year-old David Horn from Wemyss Bay was driving on the A78 in Inverkip late on Saturday October 15, when he was involved in a collision with another car.
In a statement, his family said: "David was a loving, caring and compassionate husband and father, and a ready, willing and true friend to many.”
Speaking to Clyde 1, work friend Jim Marshall, who is organising the tribute at Ibrox, echoed those comments.
He said: "I'd describe David as a gentleman. He was one of those guys who would do anything for anyone.
"He would never walk past anyone without stopping to say hello.
"He was a real family man, he lived for his family. He had two cracking kids, and a nice wife.
Jim is organising a round of applause in the 59th minute of today's game against Livingston.
Jim joked: "David was a huge Rangers fan, and a huge Rangers critic.
"His kids will be going to the game with us, travelling on the supporters' bus.
"It's going to be pretty tough on that bus without him.
"I'm just hoping that the minute's applause will let the kids get a perspective of how well-loved their dad was."
